Following the deeply disappointing announcement by Defra that The Minister for Fisheries, Jonathan Shaw, has decided not to increase the bass MLS from 36 cm to 40 cm, Mr Shaw has written directly to John Leballeur Chairman of the BASS Restoration Project Team, to offer a personal explanation of his decision.
