An initial post about a recently aquired reel has turned into a trip down memory lane for several members . . .
“I was given an old reel recently in exchange for grass cutting duties. It is an “ambidex” made by Young and sons of Redditch. It is bronze with chocolate brown handle knob and front drag. Has the name on a lable on the side. It is very well made with a bit of wear and tear but it all works and everything is very positive. Sorry no pics but google images has loads similar to my reel, mine has a hump on the back, look at the pics and you will see what I mean.”
