The Conservation Award is made by the BASS Committee to the person(s) considered to have made the biggest contribution to conservation during the year. The award is announced annually at the BASS AGM and it is with much pleasure that we advise the award for 2005 was made to Leon Roskilly and the team at the Sea Anglers Conservation Network (SACN).
Those of you who are interested in conservation will be aware of the excellent information service and campaigning vehicle that the SACN provides. The SACN team, led by Leon Roskilly, works tirelessly to promote recreational sea angling, as well as campaigning relentlessly to ensure that the seas around our shores contain fish for future generations to enjoy.
ALL sea anglers owe Leon and the SACN team a debt of gratitude.
