The Welsh Assembly Government consultation on the proposal to increase the minimum landing size of bass has now closed.
BASS would like to thank all those anglers who have taken the time to submit a response in support of our
recommendation that the mls of bass be increased to 45cm.
The BASS response to WAG is similar to that submitted to Defra, although as Wales has perhaps a greater reliance on the tourism and leisure sectors, of which angling has been identified as an important component, we have included an additional section (pages 21 -26) relating to issues specific to Wales.
