A few days ago Julian Fox and myself ventured out on to a coloured stirred up sea at first light. We had travelled to the coast with our usual high expectation, yet the sight of the brown water with barely a foot of visibility appeared to have left us with little chance of a small pollock, let alone a big bass. How wrong we were.
As is often the case, the spoils were unevenly distributed between two anglers sitting side by side, fishing the same way, with the same lures. So while Julian “Foxcatcher” kept himself warm battling monsters, in between taking his photographs I managed to record the day for the blog….
