National Angling Survey – results published

Earlier in the year, the Environment Agency Fisheries working with the Angling Trust, invited anglers to take part in the National Angling Survey. Over 29,000 anglers and 780 angling organisations replied, making this one of the biggest ever surveys of anglers.

As well as giving us views on various issues affecting angling, those who participated have also helped with the creation of a national angling strategy – Fishing for Life – which was launched at the Angling Summit on 13 November by the Fisheries Minister, Richard Benyon.

The survey results, together with the strategy, are now available from the: Angling Trust website.
