As a novice bass fisherman who had little success, no matter how much effort I put in, I recently turned to the BASS Forum for advice. I was delighted by the response and put it all into practice. I think those of you who were kind enough to render assistance deserve an update.
Over the past two weeks I have caught a number of bass on a variety of natural baits by doing exactly what was suggested (special thanks to Pete Wilcox and his local knowledge – spot on Pete!). I have also caught bass on surface and sub-surface lures and have been experimenting enthusiastically with all sorts of bits of floppy rubber. (Reminds me of my adolescence!).
