BASS AGM and Coronavirus (COVID – 19)

Wednesday 11th March – Please note the BASS AGM has now been postponed – update here : https://www.ukbass.com/update-bass-2020-agm-and-coronavirus-covid-19/

Sunday 8th March 2020

After reviewing the latest guidelines from the NHS and UK Chief Medical Officers, the Committee has decided that the forthcoming AGM will go ahead as planned, at the Oxtalls Leisure Centre, on Sunday 15th March. However, please note, a final assessment will be made on Thursday (see below).

There are currently 273 confirmed cases in England and that number is likely to grow.

We advise anyone planning to attend the AGM to refer to the Government’s latest guidance

We would ask the following of members currently planning to attend:

  • If you have travelled to a high-risk area recently (China, Far East, Italy) please do not attend.
  • If you have flu-like symptoms, please do not attend.
  • If you consider yourself ‘high risk because of your age or you have underlying health problems or respiratory problems such as asthma, please do not attend.
  • If you do attend, we look forward to seeing you, but please prepare and take sensible precautions. Bring with you tissues in case you sneeze or cough and hand sanitiser (for those secret handshakes).

We will continue to monitor the official advice and guidelines and if that advice changes we will postpone the meeting until a future date. So, before you set off on your journey for the AGM please check either:

Thank you for your understanding, as we work to ensure the safety of our AGM attendees.
