As spring relentlessly rolls on into early summer, not only are we seeing anglers getting out more and catch reports being returned, but also more frenzied activity on the BASS members only forum with our BASS comp—- kicking-off, regular members away on Bass road trips and further development for the society Heritage and BASS journal. We have plenty of members on regular pilgrimages Stateside pursuing Striped Bass, and a few tales or images can be found across social media from them. Also on the BASS members only forum is a more in-depth blog with everything from equipment preparations to crazy dashes to airports and last minuet glitches. The photos of the lads angling and Bass being caught really are spectacular and more than enough to wet most keen angler’s appetites. For many it is maximum angling interspersed with either food or sleep then back out with the rods followed by more reports and images. What else is now well underway is “The BASS Competition” and if the team names are any indication of angler’s ingenuity then we are on course for some spectacular catches and inventive angling. Suitable fish measures and rulers being desperately sort as an essential item of equipment required to take part, before even starting to get out and fish. The mayhem continues as team tactics and catch reports are posted, secure in the facts some have a fish on the board while others are still to strike some luck. From a spectator angle it is proving to be both informative and entertaining.
